Integrated handle - find a perfect curve!

Hey there, folks! Today, we're diving into some recent research we've been cooking up about our Ikea cabinet fronts. The ones with the fancy integrated handles that bring a touch of chic to your kitchen.

But let's be real, we hit a few bumps along the way.  First, the handle's depth was like trying to grip a pancake with chopsticks – even those with tiny fingers had a tough time. Then, the handle's curve, while geometrically sound, was about as user-friendly as a Rubik's Cube for your fingers.

Our goal is to ensure that your kitchen is not only Instagram-ready but also incredibly user-friendly.So, back to the drawing board we went!

We tried out different handle curves, even 3D-printed prototypes for that real-life touch. In round one, we made the integrated handle a tad deeper, and suddenly, it was as easy as pie to grab.

Round two, we decided to get fancy and molded the handle's curve to mimic the natural shape of your finger. Voilà! An improvement that made opening cabinets feel like second nature.

And in round three, we rolled up our sleeves, combined the best bits, and fine-tuned it all until we hit the jackpot – the ideal ergonomic shape. The j-pull handle now feels as cozy as your favorite hoodie and practically opens itself.

We're rolling with this final design, already got the custom tooling done – it's like crafting magic wands for your kitchen! Our Cove collection doors now proudly sport these ergonomically perfect handle curves.
