Ultra-Modern Matte White Kitchen in San Francisco Bay Area Home

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the San Francisco Bay, the open-concept living room flows seamlessly into the kitchen, allowing the homeowners to enjoy the panoramic view right from the kitchen island.

Designing a Matte White Kitchen That Feels Like Art

This ultra-modern kitchen in San Francisco Bay was designed with clean lines and seamless finishes in mind. To create visual harmony, the same paint color was used on both the walls and the matte white kitchen cabinet fronts, creating a soft transition and reinforcing the minimalist aesthetic.

Two floating shelves were added to open up the space and bring a sense of modern airiness to the working area. They also offer flexible space for displaying art or storing essentials—without compromising the clean look.

To keep the surfaces uncluttered, the kitchen features Pitt gas burners built directly into the countertop—an elegant alternative to a traditional stove that helps preserve the sleek, uninterrupted lines of the design.

Designing the Storage

Storage in this kitchen is all about blending function with simplicity. A wall of tall cabinets provides generous pantry space while keeping the design smooth and understated—true to the principles of modern kitchen design in the Bay Area.

Additional custom cabinets were added to the back side of the island to create more storage, all finished in the same matte white kitchen cabinet design to maintain a cohesive look.

Creating Flow: Kitchen + Living Room with a View

With stunning views of the San Francisco Bay, the open layout connects the kitchen and living room into one flowing, functional space. A double-sided sofa was selected to create two cozy zones—one for watching TV, and the other for enjoying the fireplace—while keeping the space feeling open and undisturbed.
